Intermediate cello courses
As an intermediate cellist, you are already familiar with the basics of cello playing that include the knowledge of each string, the various positions, the correct use of the bow and the reading of the bass clef. You are already playing some lovely melodies, but you feel the need for improving your technique, sound production and interpretation.
At The London Cello Institute, our lovely instructors will be delighted to help you enhance your abilities in a non-judgmental atmosphere, created explicitly for adult amateur cellists.
Guiding you and supporting you on the road of beginning a proficient cellist is both our pleasure and specialisation. Whatever your musical background, we will be pleased to help you improve your skills by working on the areas that require our focus. Whether you need our support to shape your technique, structure your game or enhance your tone, you can expect to be taken care of and expect remarkable results.
As an intermediate cello student at The London Cello Institute, you will:
Learn the different positions, harmonic sounds, extensions
Play scales, chords and arpeggios
Study the possibilities of using the bow (attacks, spiccato, jumping and so on)
Learn how to choose the most suitable fingerings and bow strokes
The intermediate cello courses offered at The London Cello Institute are without a doubt the most remarkable cello courses that any cellist could attend in London. We are certain that the excellent skills of our cello instructors as well as their dedication to your cello education is the perfect recipe to ensure your success!

The lessons are 45-minutes in duration and can be joined at any time during the year. (Longer lessons can be arranged on request)
As various slots are available during workdays up to 21:00 as well as on Saturdays, please contact our manager Celine at email@example.com to choose the most convenient time for you to attend.
As all our piano lessons for adults are highly personalised and tailored to the needs and wishes of each, you are welcome to decide whether you would like to sit the ABRSM grade examinations.
We totally understand that you play the piano for your pleasure and enjoyment so this decision is totally optional.
We do not follow a set syllabus but rather adapt to each of our students as everyone is different and requires special attention.
We require an initial four-month attendance as we believe that it is the minimum amount of time an adult should study at The London Cello Institute to benefit fully from our excellent piano instruction. After this initial period, you are welcome to continue your piano education on an on-going basis, but lessons are still booked per four months in advance.
